Most of the time, I'm too busy flying to have much of a rest of my
life, let
alone
tell you about it.
When I'm not flying I'm doing bodybuilding, cooking,
cycling,
travelling, and sleeping. My ideal vacation involves flying myself to
some
place where they speak an exotic language, riding around on my bicycle,
talking
to people in any combination of languages that we can make work, and
eating
strange and interesting food.
I'm terrifically interested in language and language acquisition, and I
write
a column for a journal about an
obscure language, but the journal is not online, so I can't link to it
here.
I am just as fascinated by ungulate locomotion
as I am by flight, and I'm putting this on here just so that anyone
doing
a web search on the caloric requirements of the various gaits of zebras
will
find this page and, I hope, e-mail me.
In November 2004 I participated in NaNoWriMo.
No, my novel, written in twenty-six days, is not on line, and isn't
going to be.
