General Information for Pie Choices
When I first created this site, I worked as a flight
instructor
out of the Chilliwack
Airport. The Chilliwack Airport
Coffee Shop is famous -- literally
internationally famous -- for its pies. People fly in from everywhere
to stop
for pie. Often the parking area outside the coffee shop is jammed up
with
airplanes, and people park on the grass along the sides of the taxiways.
It became a tradition that my students took me to the
coffee
shop and bought me pie in exchange for PSTAR help. You've just had the
help,
so I'm waiting for my pie.
Pie Substitutes
If you appreciated these pages,
but you're not in the Vancouver area to buy me pie, do something
else
for me. Perhaps ...:
- Report typos, broken links, or inadequate
explanations
on the Flying Start site,
- Introduce me to someone at a Canadian jet
timeshare
company, or in your corporate flight department,
- Recommend that your Vancouver-area friends book
a
lesson or a scenic flight with me,
- Send me a metal Boeing swirl logo to use as a
hood
ornament on my car,
- Recommend me for a multi-engine job available
in
your area -- this site represents part of how much extra I do as a
flight
instructor; I bring the same extra to any operation.

Question-by-Question Explanation of Pie Choices
15.01 You can't go wrong
choosing
a pie in Chilliwack, although Mud Pie would be a poor choice for a take
out
order, as it's mostly made of ice cream.
