Robyn's Improved PSTAR Study Guide

The links below will lead you through the published PSTAR questions, giving you the correct answer, and explaining how to find the correct answer for yourself.  If you need it, here is more information on the PSTAR test and on the references used to answer the PSTAR questions.

If you want to see these questions without being given the correct answer, use the official document from Transport Canada.

The text of the PSTAR questions and answer choices is pasted directly from the Study and Reference Guide: Student Pilot Permit or Private Pilot Licence for Foreign and Military Applicants, Air Regulations Fourth Edition, July 2000. As of September 2010, the September 2006 PSTAR is current. I have updated two questions known to have changed, but have not yet confirmed that there are no other changes.

Many flight schools administer PSTARs containing slightly different questions, based on older versions of the PSTAR.
